~City Angel~
Alfred awoke with a start. He had thought that the medication that his psychiatrist had prescribed to him would have lasted him throughout the entire night. Not this time. He wouldn’t have even been surprised if the plastic-like red and white capsule pills he took twice a day were placebos.
As he waited for his heartbeat to drop down to a slow and even pulse, he stared at the ceiling that was cast a dark teal-shaded blue from the lights just about to turn off to greet the morning. He hated this city. He hated the people, the noise, the jobs, everything.
His breathing easing up, Alfred noticed he could do a little illusio

She inhales, sharply drawing a breath through her cracked lips as a breeze brushes her hollowed cheeks. Her fingers flutter, tempted to wrench the locks of snarled hair out of her face. [Name]’s skin, once soft and healthy, is now a sickly color and seems almost translucent. Glowing lights fill every part of her vision, sprinkled with arching bridges and the edges of buildings. The sky is painted a sha

~Chapter 25~
The air cracked and exploded as the Blade of the Ruby Seas sailed through the air. He could have very well been flying, dragon or not. In no time at all he reached the cottage that had still been untouched and unseen by the oncoming soldiers. His chest swelled. The fire inside him flowed stronger than ever. He had Mathias to thank for that.
When his heart steadied, he could listen for any activity going on inside the cottage. It sounded like the humans were having breakfast. Arthur was talking about his explorations in the forest, all while avoiding the subject on the wisps he would see. Allistor was chewing on something from t

"________, you... don't think I'm a... monster, do you?"
You blinked and lifted your head up to see her friend Alfred, well, the other Alfred.
America, Alfred F. Jones' counterpart, "Anti-America".
You bit your lip slightly as you raced through some thoughts in your busy little head. Yeah, instead of this Alfred being the so-called-Hero, this one was a villain, with his tanned skin and dark reddish-brown hair with a much similar cowlick to the official America, and instead of glasses he had sunglasses placed on top of his head, which occasionally slipped. But... this Alfred... has killed people. The bat he always carried around with nails

Neko!Romano X Reader - Cut Off
“C’mon, you need a haircut and you know it.” You huffed, tugging on his arm.
“I don’t need a stupid haircut, my hair is perfectly fine!” Lovino growled a little, ripping his arm away from your grip. You see, your best friend (though he prefers acquaintance), Lovino, was in need of a haircut. You’ve known him since the first day of high school and he never once cut his hair for those three years, but now it was a nuisance. It constantly hung in his face and distracted him (if his curl didn’t distract you enough). The only problem was his hat, he loved it like it was one of his tomatoes and you&r

“Nein!” Roderich stormed out of the room and into his kitchen.
“Aw, c’mon! You never get out of the house!” You pouted, following after him. He was in the kitchen and was about to grab some of his left over cake, until you slapped his hand away. “This is why you need to get out. You sit around and do nothing… Wow, last time I said that I was talking to Alfred.”
“Don’t compare me to that American!” Austria looked disgusted by your comparison.
“Dude, Gilbert gets out more then you and he’s a freaking albino! What’s your excuse?” You huffed, while he began

You had been relaxing and enjoying your day with absolutely nothing to do. Getting up from your couch, you decided it was time for a snack. After searching your cupboards and finding nothing snack worthy to eat, you decided to go out.
“What should I eat?” You asked yourself while putting on your shoes.
“Well, what are you craving?” A voice chimed.
“Who’s there?” You asked, stopping mid pull. After getting no response, you sighed. “I must be going crazy. I mean why not? I’m talking to myself after all!”
You step out of your apartment door, close it, and lock it. You stand outside

“Hey, _____!”
I looked up from my book to see my friends, Gilbert, Francis, and Antonio, standing by my table. I had been invited to one of their parties, but, not being a fan of crowds, I had just settled with sitting in a back corner and reading my book. I wasn’t one for reading, but I would gladly pick up a book that held my interest. “Yeah?” I answered back.
“What are you doing back here?” said Francis.
“Ja,” added Gilbert. “The party’s almost over, und you haven’t done anything except read that stupid book.”
“It’s not stupid!” I said

Monster.
Not-of-this-Earth.
Outcast.
Disgusting Creature…
All of these words ran through your head as you ran into the cold autumn night. You kept running and didn’t stop. You didn’t care where you ended up as long as it was away from home.
Why were you running? See, you had cat ears and a tail, making you what some called a Neko. You had these cat-like features for as long as you could remember. You always thoug
